Web 3.0 - Future Of World Web !!
We all might have heard the name web3 or web 3.0 once for sure, what we did not think is what is the difference or what does this web3 refer to. Today through this article I will try to introduce you to web3 and its reverence in our daily life.
At first lets understand how did we coined the term web3, for it lets understand what is web1 and web2. The term web here refers to www or world wide web which we use as our internet in our daily life for numerous works. Our dependability on internet has grown vastly in the recent years, rather the dependency is growing relatively higher with each passing day.
How we reached web 3.0
Web 1.0 usually refers to the period of early 2000’s or late 90’s where most of websites were like static pages. A lot of content was taken and protocols were created to link these contents together. The era was all about gaining information from users without any end or further usage. Most of the users were consumers not the producer of the contents.
Web 2.0, the early 2000’s to even today is usually the web 2.0 period. Web 2.0 was based around the idea “web as a platform” and centered around user created content and uploaded in forms, social media, networking services, blogs and wiki’s among the other services. In web 2.0 linking of programs together to the content and building dynamic applications across the devices was the major development in the world web space.
Web 3.0, the most recent development of the internet world. It is an addition to the entire system where a normal user does not get to know what are the changes he/she is facing or undergoing in their normal usage. However the fact lies in the truth that with introduction of web 3 the trust and verify-ability of the world web has grown multi-folds. The relation with web is getting inverted. All contents collected and programs developed during the period of web 1.0 and web 2.0 is linked directly to each other by passing intermediary organisation. The transition of the phase 1.0 to to 3.0 had been so fast that we as users haven’t been able to notice the change. However if we notice carefully and think over we may understand, when we as users were on web with each day passing we were just feeding about us to internet however today we decide what we need to share, and in the organisations where web 3.0 has already been adopted we manage what we share with whom and what remains shaded.

The concept of web3 has been linked with cryptocurrency only by people, which is naive, fact being that the crypto market have been among the first few members to incorporate it to the system via web3 games or their in house products. A handful organisations having hands on the most lucrative technology in the market is the actual stage in the world web.
Social media, a major kin for the organisation, has plans to adopt web3 as it gives the users the trust and confidence about their information being safe while being shared with the platform. Social media organisations like Reddit and Discord have shown keen interest in upgrading their platforms to web3. On November 08, CEO Jason Citron shared a screenshot suggesting Discord might be exploring cryptocurrency wallet into their platform. Later it was denied as a concept created for internal only in a company wide ‘hackathon’, that was because of the backlash on internet against Discord.
Web3, is actually the tool which is going to take away the unfaithful collection of power or market in the social media giants like Facebook. As we all know the social media has moved from being just a platform to chat and share feelings to sheer business, where the users share their interests and personal information which is further shared across to different service producers and manufacturers who in turn share the products as sponsored advertisements or mails as per our interest, forcing us to get into ‘push buying’ which usually happens without our knowledge, this is the aura created by the social media and influencers today. With protocols designed to understand the time spent on each video to even all the pages visited, today internet is able to understand what our needs or wishes are, so they share products which we want to buy, and sometimes even they show us advertisements of banks providing loans and cards to us with which they are able to push us to the extent that we look for options to somehow fulfil that wish, this is the kind of influence we have through social media, and it is all because we have our information and interests shared with them, however through web3, it is we who decide what we share and with whom, hence no-one can influence our behavior or buying. This would mean the shift or the power from the big social media giants like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and many others.
Web3 is supported by DWeb, a same source like our normal world web however decentralised which means a real market driven and transparent. Unlike normal web in DWeb nothing is free, so if you want to hear a song of your choice you may have to shell small margins of currency however the product delivered is ensuring that your neither your personal information is being taken and with the same the quality parameters is upmarket. DWeb would play a vital role in the web3 market, it is same however the intermediary orgnisations and protocols used are different that our normal web.
